This photo was one of several I mentioned before that I found in a disused part of the farmhouse. Unfortunately it didn’t bear up to the passage of time as well as the previous one, but then it wasn’t taken in a studio, so maybe it was never as clear.
I rather like the look of this chap. He’s standing there quietly contented alongside his dog. If he’s a farmer, he’s the smartest one I’ve seen for a long time! Not even Gordon’s dad went out to work in a suit and a tie, but then perhaps this handsome fellow dressed up specially to have his photo taken. Still no clues as to his identity, but he has the look of the Boyer family.
Especially around the ears!

He’s a Gamekeeper! The style of the jacket gives it away.
Well that’s my opinion……….
A classic example of why names and dates should be put on the backs of photos!
Definitely the ears. Thank god we didn’t get them (by we I mean me and Steph
P)
I’d have to agree with Julie – my first thought was gamekeeper too. But the dog isn’t your traditional gun dog!
I’m not sure there were ever gamekeepers here as it’s not pheasant country – not enough cover. I think maybe that’s just what they wore in whatever year this picture was taken.
